Eerste Foto’s van Cumberbatch als Doctor Strange, Deadpool Christmas Trailer en Banner en Hulk 1 persoon in Thor Ragnarok?! Animated Spiderman-film in december 2018 MARVEL MAANDAG #40

Stephen Strange zelf, Benedict Cumberbatch over de Doctor Strange-film: “I’m still in the infancy of learning all that. It was like, okay, I’ve got to keep throwing these poses, these spells, these rune-casting things, everything he does physically. I’m thinking, there’s going to be a huge amount of speculation and intrigue over the positioning of that finger as opposed to it being there, or there. And I’m still working on that. We haven’t played any of those scenes yet. I felt really self-conscious. But, then, by the end, it was great. It’s like anything, you just have to experiment.”

With the release of the Colossus Deadpool movie poster, now comes word of just who is playing the metallic mutant. reports and has an interview up with 37-year-old Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic(24, Extent) who provided the voice and some motion-capture work for Colossus. It’s note that Kapicic finished on Colossus a mere 8 weeks prior the premiere of the film in February.

Some highlights from the interview include that Kapicic is a big fan of the comics:

Yes! I am big comic book geek. I can’t live without them. Deadpool was always one of my favorite characters because of the way he handles all kinds of situations. His style and humor make him the perfect antihero. It’s great finding a comic book character that doesn’t care about following traditional comic book rules by breaking the fourth wall and being explicit about everything. This gives Deadpool the arrogance which you just have to love.

On director Tim Miller’s vision of the character and Kapicic’s voice for Colossus:

Tim Miller’s idea of Colossus was to be bigger and stronger than everyone else, so for the motion capture they needed an extremely tall man. I’m 6-foot-4, but he wanted Colossus to be over 7 feet, so they used a stunt double to recreate his height, and he did very good job there. Tim also wanted Colossus to sound as close as possible to the comic book character’s background, so he had me to come in, since my voice was what he envisioned for Colossus, who has an authentic Russian accent. My character’s voice gives him the past history as Piotr Rasputin once you hear him speak. This made him the most authentic to the original idea of the comic book character.

On working with Ryan Reynolds and Tim Miller:

There is no actor in the world with such talent and charm that could play Deadpool as well as Ryan Reynolds. Working with him was a fantastic experience, and his ideas and suggestions helped me out a lot.  It was just great fun to work one-on-one as Deadpool and Colossus. I worked with many directors in my life, but Tim Miller is definitely my favorite. He not only has a beautiful sense of directing actors, but he also shares a great love and passion for the comic book world, as I do. I enjoyed working and spending time talking with him. He is an exceptional man and friend and I can never thank him enough for this opportunity that he gave me.

Animated Spiderman

Are we ever going to see the Green Goliath in his own movie after the mixed response to The Incredible Hulk back in 2008? Well, while Marvel Studios may have congratulated Universal on the success of Jurassic World earlier this year, there’s clearly still some bad feeling between the two studios, though it does sound as if things are on their way to be resolved. “I think they’ve been working on it,” Mark Ruffalo explained in a recent interview with Yahoo Movies. “Marvel and Universal famously don’t get along very well, and so that’s working against us, definitely. But I know for a fact that everyone is holding out hope that one day we can do it. But the nature of the relationship right now, it’s a little prohibitive. And I hope that that changes, that changes with regimes, it changes over the course of time. But right now it doesn’t look particularly promising.”
Asked if the apparent bad feeling between the two studios could ultimately lead to a deal similar to what happened with Marvel and Sony, Ruffalo added: “Yeah, I think ultimately that’s what they’re after, it working out for both sides. But like I said, Marvel and Universal are just not having a good time together right now.” As for Thor: Ragnarok, the actor confirmed that it’s still very early days for the movie which will unite the God of Thunder with The Hulk. “They’re still writing the script. That’ll start shooting this summer. In June. There’s still a lot of work to do on that.” Oh, and is he going to be in Captain America: Civil War? “They’re saving me, so I’m told,” he reiterated.

During a recent interview with Ain’t It Cool News for his latest indie drama, Infinitely Polar Bear, Mark Ruffalo further teased, or speculated about, his return as Bruce Banner, the Incredible Hulk, inThor: Ragnarok. Though he’s yet to read the script, the actor seems to know where it’s headed.

He’s on the run,” assured Ruffalo of the Incredible Hulk’s whereabouts following the events ofAvengers: Age of Ultron. “I think that we carry that through. It’s not just a matter of taking himself to some remote place and hiding. Now he’s removing himself from humanity altogether. I’m not sure where we’re going to head with that, but I’m sure that’s probably still very much alive within him.” The two-time Oscar nominated actor then hinted that the two personalities might merge. “It’s very subtle, but the Banner/Hulk consciousness is beginning to meld a little bit,” he teased. “Who decided to leave? Was it Banner or Hulk? It’s not really in the [cinematic] mythology of Hulk up until that moment to be that conscious and pro-active. It’s interesting, right?” Very!

Mark Ruffalo continued, “Yeah, I think it [will be fun]. I think it’s really exciting where we could go with it. Now I feel like we’re kind of in No Man’s Land. I mean, the comic books have kind of broached the subject, but we’re moving away from the traditional Hulk/Banner relationship. We’re starting to mess with it a little bit.” As this direction has not been explored previously, he added, “Now we’re going to see how far we can push the limits of it before people get sick of it!”
